The second generation Chevrolet Equinox was premiered at the 2009 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
The mid-size SUV received a thorough facelift, boasting a new appealing exterior design with an updated and rearranged interior. Compared to the previous generation, the 2009 Chevrolet Equinox rides on the same 112.5-inch wheelbase, but is about one inch shorter and one inch wider. Chevrolet offers two new engines for its Equinox: a 2.4L direct-injected I4 powerplant and a 3.0 DOHC direct-injected V6 engine, both boasting impressive power to fuel economy ratio.
