The 5-door was identical with the 3-door version, sharing all traits from measures to styling.
Interestingly, the 205 had such an impact when it was launched that it’s appearance never had to be altered. Only the dashboard was redesigned for the 1988 model and a few improvements were made for one of the models nearing end of production, consisting of new door design, front indicators, single point injection and catalytic converters. As for power units, 205 models were powered by engines ranging from 954 cc to 1905 cc, the latter having been fitted only on the GTI and CTI versions.
