Initially introduced as a 5-door station wagon model, the Personal Transportation (PT) Cruiser received two new versions in 2004: 2-door and 4-door convertible.
The car was initially intended to be marketed as a Plymouth model but, due to the North American brand closing production in the early ‘2000s, the PT Cruiser received the Chrysler designation. Both the station wagon and the convertible versions received some important updates in 2006, including a redesigned front fascia, new taillights and revised interior. Several Special Editions of the Chrysler PT Cruiser were launched in the following years.
