The bulky Cabrio had an identical design to the coupe and was one of MB’s less popular cars.
Offered with a choice of three power units comprising a 4.6 L plant and its revised version as well as a larger 5.0 L engine , the car seemed to have covered plenty of customer needs. However, it failed to do so despite its elegant styling complete with stylish wooden multiple-spoke wheels and power outputs of 80 hp and 100 hp respectively. Although the vehicle was not a personal best for MB, it was still a notable car with plenty of ground clearance, power and suspension to make country-road trips enjoyable.
