The third and the last generation Renault Laguna was officially announced in June, 2007 and presented to the general public in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
In contrast to the previous versions, the new Laguna comes in even more body configurations, including a 5-door liftback, a 5-door estate and a 3-door coupe. If the second generation Laguna was based on the same platform as Nissan Primera, the 2007 model shares the platform with Nissan Altima and Nissan Murano. It is available in six engine configurations, starting with a 1.6 16V and ending with a 2.0 dCI developing 175, combined with a manual or an automatic transmission.
