The second generation of SEAT Toledo came with a more modern look than its predecessor, being designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, who also worked for Cadillac, Ferrari and BMW as well as for the first generation of Toledo.
Similar to many other SEAT models, the Toledo shared parts with Volkswagen and Skoda vehicles which were based on the same platform, in this case Bora and Octavia. The new Toledos came in multiple engine choices, ranging between 1.6- and 2.3-liter, powered by both gasoline and diesel. The most powerful engine, a 2.3-liter V5, is able to develop 170 horsepower and a maximum speed of 225 km/h with a 0 to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds.
