Volkswagen has taken the wraps of a production Golf VI GTI Cabriolet, something that was previewed at Worthersee fest in Austria last year and received a lot of attention.
This will get a proper reveal at the Geneva Motor Show and should be introduced onto the European market later this year. The most powerful Golf Cabriolet ever is motivated along by the same 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder unit found in the hatchback, which makes the usual 210PS and 206 lb-ft (280 Nm) of peak torque from 1,700 to 5,300 rpm. The unit delivers its power to the front wheels via the standard six-speed manual or an optional DSG box.
