This 5-door station wagon began production in 2005 as a version of the Honda Fit which came only as a sedan or hatchback.
The Honda Airwave had two trim levels, the G and the L which came whith an optional sunroof. Built on the Global Small Car platform, the Airwave was surprisingly spacious, and thanks to the gas tank being placed underneath the rear seats, the rear allowed for multiple seat configurations. The car was available in either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The model was used as inspiration for the the Honda Partner that was introduced a year later.
