Mazda 2 was officially presented in 2007 and represented an upgraded variant of the 2002 model which now comes with lighter materials, a digital fuel gauge and air conditioning as standard.
More important, the 2007 edition of Mazda 2 is entirely based on the same platform as the upcoming 2008 Ford Fiesta, sharing numerous parts with this model. There are three engine configurations available, a 1.3 75 hp, a 1.3 86 hp and a 1.5 103 hp. A stability control system was also introduced on the 2007 Mazda 2 but it is only available as an option, similar to a sports body kit and 16-inch alloy wheels.
