Released in 2003, the Marauder was marketed as a brawnier version of the Grand Marquis.
Based on an upgraded Panther platform, as the Grand Marquis, the car was fitted with a 4.6 L Modular V8 petrol engine delivering 302 hp and 431 Nm of maximum torque. Having borrowed as many style elements as it did engine parts from its stablemates, the Marauder was a rather eclectic assembly, specially designed to crush competition. Sporting a sleek, all-over painted body and large 18” 5-spoke alloy wheels, the car was what may be described as a “muscle sedan”.
