The fourth generation crossover from Fuji Heavy Industries continues a line of models that have been successfully sold since 1997.
Compared to the model that came before it, the SJ Forester is longer, mainly in the wheelbase. The cabin benefits heavily from this, especially in the rear legroom department. Subaru developed the Forester with a new X-MODE AWD control system, which controls the engine, transmission and dynamic control are all connected. Partially due to the use of a more efficient CVT transmission, the vehicle features decreased towing capacity, but the capabilities and fun factor offered make up for this.
